Knorr is a unique plugin designed to enhance the depth and character of monophonic low-frequency audio sources, such as bass instruments. It employs a sophisticated algorithm to introduce harmonics to the original sound in a manner that goes beyond conventional distortion or filtering techniques.

The Knorr Algorithm

• The core algorithm utilizes a blend of filtering, amplitude modulation, and frequency modulation to manipulate incoming audio signals. While primarily tailored for bass tones, Knorr is versatile enough to be applied to any monophonic audio source containing content in the low midrange and below.

User Interface

• XY Pad: This interface element governs the bandwidth and energy input into the algorithm. Users can adjust these parameters by dragging the marker on the pad.
• Range (X-axis): Controls the frequency cutoff of the low-pass filter, offering a range from 100 Hz to 1 kHz.
• Level (Y-axis): Determines the volume of the filtered audio content.
• Bite (SOFT, MEDIUM, HARD): Provides three preset options to modify the intensity of the modulations applied.
• Output: Enables users to set the desired output level.
• Bypass: This function allows for immediate activation or deactivation of the effect.
• Frequency Response Graph: Displays the frequency response of the internal modulation signal for better visual feedback.

Please note that Knorr is exclusively available as an AUv3 plugin and must be launched within AUv3-compatible hosts like GarageBand, Cubasis, Auria, or similar applications. It does not function as a standalone software.
